Farnam Festival returns on Saturday, October 8, 2016, with a fantastic musical lineup featuring co-headliners Head of Femur from Chicago and The Diplomats of Solid Sound from Iowa City. The free Blackstone Farnam Festival also features Those Far Out Arrows, A Ferocious Jungle Cat, Conny Franko, Twinsmith

Essentially a block party, the events’ purpose is to celebrate the Blackstone District, it’s business’s and all of the people that make this unique neighborhood what it is.

40th Street will be shut down between Farnam and Dodge for the festival, which will include local craft breweries and food vendors.

Gates open at 3:30. Music starts at 4 p.m.

Entrance to the event will be on 39th street, one half block north of Farnam St. This gate will serve as the only entrance and exit to the event.

There is no admission fee to get into the festival. There will be tickets sold for beer and wine sales, as well as the raffle. There will be food trucks on site that may take credit cards, so cash would be the best bet for the food vendors.

There are several parking lots within a few blocks of the festival as well as street parking in surrounding neighborhoods, but please consider walking, carpooling, or riding your bike.
